One of the three "Empresses of Huadan" of the 1950s, Fong Yim-fun is celebrated for her groundbreaking singing style and her prolific output, having starred in over 140 films in her decade-long career. She moved generations with her heartfelt portrayals of socially disadvantaged women which also brought their plights into the public consciousness.
Nam Fung, celebrated for her versatility, is joined by three veteran male opera performers to reprise some of Fong's most famous roles in this homage to one of the most influential personalities on the Cantonese opera stage.
