Voyage of Discovery: Shek Kip Mei to Tsim Sha Tsui
06 Feb 2009 - 08 Mar 2009 Participating artists include Au Yeung Ying-chai, Tse Chi-tak, Ha Bik-chuen, Lam Ke-yee, Fung Tak-man, Chris Cheung This year, we strive to present performing arts outside their normal borders. Whilst Festival events such as dance performances and theatre will be staged at unconventional venues such as an art gallery and an outdoor piazza, as well as at theatres in more suburban areas, one Festival PLUS event aspires to bring art closer to the city. This exhibition, which will be held in the foyer of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, is a collaboration with the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre in Shek Kip Mei. The JCCAC, housed in a decommissioned Shek Kip Mei Factory Estate, aims to become a regional arts and culture hub and seeks to promote arts and culture within the community as well as nurture local creative talent, a mission that is closely related to the work of HKAF.
