For Balkan music star Goran Bregovic and his Wedding and Funeral Orchestra, life is for living – it’s one big wild party!

With its sensational mix of gypsy strings and brass band, traditional Bulgarian polyphony, Orthodox chant, electric guitar and ethnic percussion, Bregovic’s music brims with verve and vigour. It’s simply infectious and irresistible.

Based on traditional wedding and celebratory funeral music, his compositions hit a contemporary, joyful note that speaks to audiences everywhere.

Starting his career with rock group, White Button, Bregovic’s songs have been recorded by Césaria Evoria and Iggy Popp amongst others, and he has written scores for a stack of award-winning movies, including Patrice Chéreau’s La Reine Margot, Emir Kusturica’s Arizona Dream, Underground and the fabled Time of the Gypsies. He has been a larger-than-life star of European music for three decades.
