ABOUT
A homecoming celebration of contemporary dance
Ten unique statements on local contemporary dance

In the ten years since its inception, CDS has nurtured the development of numerous emerging local choreographers and performers—many of whom have continued to build successful careers in the sector. Dance On and Off invites ten of these past participants back to the CDS stage, where they will look back on their development as artists through devising new works. Their multifaceted and original creations will respond to the art of dance and self-expression in the tumultuous present, with inspirations as far-ranging as Thai boxing, capoeira, naamyam, the rhythms of the city and the psyche of the self.
