“[Gerhaher and Huber] Bywords for sensitivity, cerebral depth and seeming perfection in lieder” The New York Times

Multi-talented composer–conductor Heinz Holliger is joined by vocalist Christian Gerhaher, the “natural heir to the great Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau” (The New York Times), for a concert of works by Holliger, Schubert and Schoeck with the Kammerorchester Basel (Basel Chamber Orchestra). Gerhaher will sing the song cycle Elegie by Swiss composer Othmar Schoeck, a lyrical and dramatic work “from spring to autumn, from the presence of the beloved to the vaguest memory of her, and from life to death ”.
