About
Journey to the West Rewind is an adaptation of the literary classic telling the tale of Tong
Sam-zong and his disciples who traverse thousands of miles of dangerous terrain to obtain
sacred texts. Script writer Jason Kong Chun-kit and director Ata Wong share their experience
of casting the Cantonese opera Journey to the West Rewind in a contemporary context, and
how they draw strength and inspiration from the original literature.
