About
Neil Bartlett’s 2017 theatre adaptation of The Plague stripped Camus’s story bare and reshaped it into the format of a public inquiry, in which each character submits his own witness statement for the evaluation of the audience. In this Artist Sharing, James
Chan, director of the Cantonese adaptation of the play and local cast members delve deep into the psychology and motives of their characters while reflecting on how their own experiences witnessing a real-life plague have informed their interpretations of the roles.

Speakers: Chan Tai-yin (Director), Annie Cheung (Cast), Birdy Wong (Cast), Wan Yuk-yu (Cast), Ceci Chan (Cast), Luk Ka-ki (Cast)

Broadcast Date: 15 Mar 2021 (Mon) - 30 Jun 2021 (Wed)
Running time: 20 mins
Language: In Cantonese with Chinese & English subtitles
