Hankyung arte Philharmonic X SM Classics: K-pop Concert
K-pop anthems performed on a symphonic scale
After taking Seoul, Tokyo, Vienna, Singapore and Bangkok by storm, SM Classics—the classical label under SM Entertainment—brings its K-pop symphonic spectacle to Hong Kong! Beloved hits from the K-pop groups that have captivated the world for years are reborn in orchestral arrangements, performed by Seoul’s Hankyung arte Philharmonic for a thrilling new dimension of sound. The orchestra made its Hong Kong Arts Festival debut in 2024 to a sold-out house.
Built around pure orchestral performance, the concerts feature K-pop legends SUPER JUNIOR’s Ryeowook and Red Velvet’s Wendy as special guests. At select concerts and in dedicated segments, they step into the spotlight as guest vocalists to sing featured numbers. On the podium is Yuwon Kim, the first Korean and first woman to receive the Robert Spano Conductor Prize at the Aspen Music Festival, bringing the symphonic power of K-pop to life.
SUPER JUNIOR’s Ryeowook has long captivated fans worldwide with his soaring, powerful and emotionally direct “premium” vocals. In 2026 he released Runaway, a single marking the 10th anniversary of his solo debut, and successfully completed his first Asia tour to an enthusiastic global response.
Red Velvet’s Wendy is a generation-defining vocalist, renowned for her commanding power and unmistakable tone. From her solo debut album Like Water to Cerulean Verge, she continues to prove a wide musical spectrum—from delicate emotion to bright, bold pop-punk.
