Belgian avant-garde theatre group Ontroerend Goed returns to Hong Kong with a unique production. This time, there are no actors—just a stage and a mysterious box.

A daring theatrical experiment where the audience takes the lead

Step away from your screen and into the spotlight—literally. In this immersive experience, you won’t just watch the show—you’ll become part of it. There’s no script, no set storyline and no assigned roles. Everything begins with the opening of a mysterious box. Inside are unexpected surprises, objects and words that guide the unfolding narrative. Every choice you make shapes the story, sparking surprise, excitement and deep reflection. The chemistry between participants creates moments that are unexpected, unforgettable and uniquely yours.

Ontroerend Goed has earned a formidable reputation for its boundary-breaking immersive theatre works. Its previous Hong Kong shows, including £¥€$ (LIES) in 2019 and A Game of You and The Smile Off Your Face in 2024, were met with rave reviews. Its latest work, Handle with Care, is unlike anything you’ve seen before. There are no actors—just one enigmatic box at centre-stage. No spoilers here: every performance is one of a kind and never repeated.

The company has a knack for tapping into the audience’s psyche. Whether you’re an introvert or extrovert, Handle with Care will draw you out and spark meaningful interactions. This time, you’re the director, the writer and the performer. You’ll drive the story using your own instincts and emotions, rediscovering the magic of human connection. As the creators put it: “There are no strangers here—only friends you haven’t met yet.”

For one hour, you’ll experience something truly unique as part of a group of 40 participants. What’s yours will stay yours. Take good care of it.

Tickets are available for purchase from 9 December 2025 at URBTIX
