Renowned cellist and viola da gamba player Jonathan Manson is celebrated both for his outstanding artistry and extensive experience in teaching both instruments. During his tenure as Principal Cellist of the Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, he recorded more than 150 of Bach’s cantatas and has collaborated with leading artists including Yo-Yo Ma. Since 2003, Manson has been a Professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London, specialising in the Baroque and Romantic repertoires. This masterclass offers a rare opportunity to learn from this distinguished cello educator.
