Founded in 1983, Rosas has been a groundbreaking force in contemporary dance for more than four decades, led by its visionary founder and choreographer, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. A trailblazer in modern dance, De Keersmaeker’s works explore the profound relationship between movement and music, drawing inspiration from geometry, nature and social structures, re-interpreting human bodies in space and time.

Marking the company’s first Hong Kong appearance in more than two decades, Rosas returns to the HKAF for its 54th edition and presents two captivating works: Rosas danst Rosas and BREL. Additionally, rising Rosas dance talent Solal Mariotte will conduct this contemporary dance masterclass to share his dance techniques and experience accumulated through years of training at the Performing Arts Research and Training Studios (P.A.R.T.S.) and with Rosas.

The HKAF now welcomes experienced dancers who are interested in receiving direct coaching, as well as observers, to join this contemporary dance masterclass. Selected dancers will be charged a fee of HK$280 and join the full-time students at the School of Dance of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in this masterclass. Observers can register via this webpage for free.

- A short statement explaining why you wish to take part in the masterclass, and
- A video recording of about three to five minutes showcasing your recent dance performances. If the video recording captures group dances or multiple dancers, you should identify yourself by text and/or images.

Information submitted by applicants will only be used for the selection of dancers for this masterclass and will be erased after the event. Successful candidates will be notified individually about further details, including payment arrangements.
