Based on Kim Young-ha’s seminal award-winning novel, The Empire of Light was a play created by the National Theater Company of Korea and the Théâtre National de Bretagne. Directed by French director Arthur Nauzyciel, the play takes the audience on a journey between truth and lies, dreams and reality—a stimulating portrayal of individuals and a nation grappling with the past and present.
