Yun Zeng x Zijian Wei—Horn and Piano Recital

From waltzes to tango in a fairytale world:
the Berliner Philharmoniker Principal Horn in Concert

Hailing from a distinguished lineage of musicians with a long horn-playing tradition, Yun Zeng won the vote to become the Principal Horn of the pre-eminent Berliner Philharmoniker at the age of just 24. While his talent has captivated the global classical stage, this rising star has a simple, heartfelt mission: to make classical concerts incredibly fun! Joining him to realise this vision is his music partner Zijian Wei—the winner of the 2024 Cleveland International Piano Competition.

The duo will explore a diverse repertoire by Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Piazzolla and Ravel, interwoven with a blend of dance rhythms. For their family concert, they will bring Grimms’ beloved fairytale Hänsel und Gretel to life and push the limits with a breakneck performance of Flight of the Bumblebee—promising an enchanting and laughter-filled afternoon for the whole family.
