Voices and virtuality: a tech cantata redefining choral performance
Hong Kong-based American composer Eugene Birman’s The Longest Days and the Shortest Days is a striking “tech cantata” for both a live choir and a virtual choir, conducted by Jorge Matta, creating a bold multimedia experience that explores the tension between physical and digital performance. In a second concert, this top-tier choir from Portugal performs acapella works by Bach, Brahms and Portuguese composers led by conductor Martina Batič, taking audiences on a musical journey across the ages.
Advance bookings will start at 10am on 16 October 2025
